A refit project can be more complex than a new building and requires extra measures, high level of care and finess with regard to dismantling process before reconstruction works can begin.
Many years of experience in seagoing and shipyards represents a surplus to manage a refit project with all its multiple and varied aspects, having to coordinate and deal with other professionals of the sector: suppliers, technicians, classification societes, shipyards, dock masters, travellift operators, coast guards, port autorities, customs and workmen. As most of these professionals only speak foreign languages such as Italian, it is very important to communicate with them as clearly as possible, in order to avoid misunderstandings and waste of time between them and the owners, captains and crew members, also to prevent extra costs.
